slanting view of XF-12(Z)

I have never made the drawing of the pretty XF-12 Rainbow to invent zwilling derivatives or something like that. I told myself "this is long and boring, like several days" but this "one-week-GB" is a good reason to try and make it.

As source, the 3-view that I will use, with trigonometric transformations of mine, will be: https://www.secretprojects.co.uk/attachments/republic-xr-12-rainbow-gif.99734/

There is already one slanting view drawing at https://imgbin.com/png/XrgZLJnN/aircraft-avro-lincoln-republic-xf-12-rainbow-propeller-png but with a strong conical effect, like drawn from a photograph shot at short distance and this is not what I want to do, but choosing my personal (usual) angle of view, and at long distance, in order to double it simply (without conical calculations) into a twin-plane. (And building slowly a vectored drawing of mine makes it, finally, more easy to play with inventively, rather than bitmap transformations like Photoshop).

To start, this morning, I am building with Corel Draw the box aspect of the 3-view following my usual angle:

Then I will just have to draw lines, I will show you step by step, the intermediate aspect.

I have made the lines for what I will keep from the above view, then I moved the profile on it and there will just be to modify the lines to match:

Then adding/modifying lines for the fuselage/nose/tail:

Still to do: the engines/propellers and (maybe) wings/tailplanes dihedral.

Good to learn how you go about making your profiles, Tophe.

I've often wondered that too, they usually just appear as if by magic.  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

This is going to be fascinating to watch
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Tophe

Thanks!
Now the engine pod (or at least one, the others will be made from copies with small adaptations):

Finishing the engines part:

(to be cleaned removing the temporary copied parts of wings)

Apart of dihedral handling, the XF-12 drawing is now finished:

This is an important step because the basis of the zwilling/twin-plane XF-12Z may be such a flat version (the double fin for control requiring no wing dihedral in W shape, fragile in fuselage junction). Only for the standard XF-12, with single fuselage, will I make the dihedral modification, maybe tomorrow.

Before making it (tomorrow), I have prepared the basis of transformation: <_<

Now I have moved the points following the dihedral guides of yesterday:

When removing guides, the XF-12 drawing will be finished. In a few minutes. But exporting to jpg then Imgur will make it coming here later.

Here is the first result: <_<

Of course will follow a He-111Z-like version: with more engines and separate tails.

After the test of the XF-12Z prototype, 13 copies of YF-12Z were ordered, built and flown: <_<

After the relative success of the YF-12Z, 800 copies of F-12Z were ordered (with different layout: no need of double crew and so many engines). But alas this was cancelled:
