The Airfix 1/72 Avro Vulcan B.2 is much closer to being finished now.
I have done 2 versions of the Blue Steel, the standard version and the proposed low level turbojet powered version.

I've never seen a model of the jet Blue Steel, it looks very good.

And what can you say about a well built Vulcan other than 'Coooorrrrrrr!'

My Boss at BR worked on the Blue Steel's aerodynamics and control systems, and he always reckoned they could have made it a lot better, but the MoD didn't give them the time to do it properly.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Is that the part started Blue Steel I gave you?

I mean, I know I started a jet Blue Steel and I know it got passed on to either you or Duncan.

I believe it came from Geoff B. It came into my hands many years ago, but wasn't sure how. The back end is made up of clear plastic tubing and miliput.

Yeah, it was mine.  IIRC, the clear plastic tubing was a pen as it seemed to have the right shape and taper.  And I think that it was one of the few times I've used Milliput and was happy with it.

TBH, I'd forgotten all about it.  I think it got abandoned around the time I was busy doing the Avro Atlantic.

Ah, cheers mate. I must admit, it had been in the Vulcan kit box that long I didn't recall who had passed it on to me.
