It seems the designers of the English Electric Lightning have improved the F-20 Tigershark design, with double power (and no asymmetry if one jet fails):

Combine this idea with the X-29 FSW. Hmm!

They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

Years ago I started a project to siamese two F-5s together belly to belly to make a four-engined version.

...or you could cut away the lateral air intakes, fair them over and add a single, large chin intake?  :o

Thanks!

And yes, a F-20 version of this (twin-nose vertical layout) occured!:

Mine would probably have looked something like this.

Basis is that the Airfix F-5 is split horizontally just above the bottom line of the fuselage, so two will siamese together.

Intakes are F-4, blended into the F-5 with lots of PSR.

I've used standard wings and tailplanes here, but an alternative would be Mirage deltas.

Twin fins is also a possibility.

It seems there was another English-designed F-20, a twin-boomer!:

Hmmmmm.........  Four engines, place the wings in an X position, laser cannons on the wing tips?

I may try to draw this F-20Ke if you explain a little more:
are the X xings external of the booms?
or are the booms at the tips of the upper wings?
or else?
 ;D

Yes, the MiG-56 is born:  ;D

No, seriously (not about Mig-28 nor F-5 but F-20): UK is the motherland of the General Aircraft Twin-Hotspur and that gave life to the British Twin-shark:
