I've booked for me to do the SIG stand here, but it's not been confirmed yet (I'm chasing). OGL MIGHT be able to attend or might not.

I'll check my shift roster. But the chance of me being there is slim.

<EDIT> just looked at my roster. No Dice, Im on shift  :banghead:
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

I know why the majority of shows are on a Sunday, but it does make it awkward for those of us who travel by public transport  :-\

On a Saturday that is doable as a day trip for me, but on a Sunday it's probably not quite on, given services start latter and take longer.

A word of warning to all attendees

the M6 is shut between J13 and J14 from 8pm on sat 23 march for up to 18 hours    :banghead: :banghead:

apparently a foot bridge is being demolished.

Mrs SP has a craft show and thus is working out alternate routes for us to get there.

Okay folks, sorry I havn't been promoting this one much, but the truth is that I've been ill for the last two weeks, and it was touch-and-go, as of the middle of this week, whether or not I'd have to cancel. However, I seem to be on the mend now, so (touch wood ) I should be there as planned.

Thanks for the heads-up SP.

Doc's best guess is that it started off as a "flu-like" viral infection, then I got a bacterial chest infection on top of that. The former seems to have burnt itself out and anti-biotics are kicking the latter, so here's hoping...

Well that went off very well, all things considered. I'm clearly not fully recovered, and felt it at times, but it was tolerable, particularly with a bit of help. Speaking of which, many thanks to Trevor and Richard for helping with the stand. Table space was limited, with the result that Coventry and Warwick IPMS had some of their perspex display stand left unused, which Richard kindly loaned to the What-If stand, along with a fine selection of models to go on it.

The venue is some sort of school or training college (not sure which) and was very light and airy with good food laid on, the only problem being the aforementioned lack of space. Pictures will follow.

The Wooksta!

Get a Madras or a Vindaloo down you.  Or several stiff whiskys.  Might not get rid of it, but at least you've had some fun.

Our stand, featuring Richard's fabulous egg-plane omlette. ;D

We were next to this Polish guy who'd built a 1/32nd scale model of one of the USS Arizona's turrets, which had earned him various certificates from the Arizona association. he even had a tiny part of the ship in a display case.
