Ooooh, the Mirage F1, the French Hunter.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Very nice.  Which kit please?

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That looks good - almost a should-have-been...

Why they didn't 'just' put a hook on the F.1 and use it to replace the Crusaders AND the Etendard IVs (with different radars) is one of history's mysteries.

Pretty sure there was a Mirage F-1M proposal, will need to check references when I get home

This kit ist Spécial Hobby 1/72

The story of this photo is spent on the Naval Air Station Nimes-Garons where this Mirage F1 of the Air Force was diverted (weather, oil shorts ...?) And it is posed in the evening.
After landing, at the car park,
the pilot would have been a little "insistent" with the mechanics all circling the plane with them as a consultant.
So much so that tired, a mechanic told him "it's good, we can do we also have Mirage F1 in the Naval Air!"
The pilot has remained incredulous and septic,
so champagne was put into play to bet that everyone was sure to win.

However, the next morning, the proof of this statement was made to the detriment of his device!

Small point of order if I may? Shouldn't this thread be on the 'Current And Finished Projects' board rather than the 'Aircraft (etc..) by Topic' board?
