Atsushi Koyanagi has announced that he will be producing a 1/72 Arsenal VB-10 kit in 2018!

This one will be a "must buy" for me.  It's both a "WhIf" and a real world machine.  Had France held out for a bit longer in 1940 then the VB-10 stood a real chance of having been made during the war and serving with the Armée de l'air and that would've been some kinda awesome!

Mr. Koyanagi's kitwork is good quality stuff and this one looks in line with that.

I'm wondering if he'll do anything fancy with the landing gear for this one as the VB-10 was NOT a small plane by any means so the weight of all that resin would take some care to deal with.

I can imagine depicting VB-10s flying escort on bombing missions to Berlin - or once the Nazis are taken care of, flying escort on Moscow missions...

The possibilities abound!

That's a beautiful big brute of a beast of a plane   ;D

I like it even though it wouldn't fit in with any of my plans - although that's never stopped me before!  ;D
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

There was a resin kit years back, possibly French and possibly by Dujin or Vami.  I got it in 2000 and it was second hand then, so I'd suspect early/mid 90s for a release date.

The one I got was bagged and it went in NMF and RAF markings as a captured/evaluation machine.  Never did finish it and I'm not even sure I still have it.

There's a thread about the type on Beyond the Sprues and this French website indicated a previous kit.

That's a must have, lovely beast.

Must admit I didn't realise it was that big until I saw that photo with all the guys gathered underneath it  :o

Super looking aircraft, makes the similarly sized Firebrand look like an airborne barn door!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

That's for sure. 'Style' is something that Blackburn never developed, until they did the Buccaneer maybe.

I think it was the Firecrest actually.  It took all the elements of the Firebrand and refined them down to something that looked a thousand percent better IMO.

I don't know where it went in the 30's then ? Most French aircraft during that period are just  :o Mind you they have a certain amount of character and for that reason I find myself strangely attracted to them  ;)

Oh, I dunno the Pellet was rather attractive.

Ah, but that was a one off racer.  i'm sure if they had put it into mass production they would have managed to disfigure it in some way.
It is a very handsome aircraft.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
