Somewhere in what I laughingly call 'The Model Room' I have one of the conversions kits that Airfix did to turn their Valiant B1 kit into a B(PR)1 or a B(K)1 or a mix of the two. I've used the PR bomb bay doors on my slow build of the Villers Vinidicator, but now I want the tanker bits. Can I find them? Can I thump!  :banghead: :banghead:

So, if anyone has the tanker bits you'd be willing to trade for money or something that I've got stored away in The Loft I'd be happy to hear from you.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Ohhh do I sense a SeaMaster/Monterey with a rotating bomb bay/refueler hose!!!

To perhaps serve as inspiration for your search, here is a shot of the kit (sorry I have similar nefarious plans for mine, or I would offer)

It really has some nice bits and detailed roof.

I may or may not have the refuelling parts spare as I have yet to decide if I want to build a refueller or not. The Reconnaissance parts will be used for a PR3 Valiant which has longer wings  ;)

If you get no luck from anyone else Kit then let me know and the refueller parts are yours.

That's exactly what I'm planning, but the bomb bay door will be rotated to show the refuelling pod permanently while it's sitting on the beaching trolley. My engineering talents will be exhausted just building the kit, let alone making the door rotate.

Thanks Alastair, I'll keep you in mind if the darn thing doesn't show up, or if no-one else has one to trade.

I saw a fresh unmolested one of those sets for sale on Monday at Model Expo.
Bit late now.  Good luck getting what you want.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I was selling three of those for ages - all gone now I'm afraid. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I've found it!

Well, not exactly......  :-\

I can see it OK, but I can't get to it just yet as it's buried under a huge pile of books and other junk, but at least I know it still exists, it'll just take a while to dig down to it.

Thanks to all who volunteered to supply one.
