The premise of this one was what if this scheme...

...had been painted over a red base rather than blue.

The kit is an older 1/72 Hasegawa F-4EJ.  It was cheap and crude.  I wouldn't build another using that kit.

Its the first time i've put on this level of decals and it seemed to take forever.  I think the result is worth it although a few of them don'r seem to be where I thought I left them so don't look too closely.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Flashy as it's supposed to be! The markings look very good over the red, looks fiery!

Sexy!  But I can understand your decal trauma - Japanese F-4s have minute stencils everywhere, and applying the large decoration was surely not easy, either.

Oh that really works
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Captain Canada

It sure does ! Great job on that finish. A real head turner that. Love all the stencilling !

AWE inspiring Fred!

Very well done.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

That would be a proper aircraft for Santa Claus...
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Thanks folks.  I can't fault the quality of the decal sheet.  I think it said it was for a Hasegawa Kai but as it didn't fit well in places I suspect it was for the later version.
