Hi all, the old domain name has expired and Tom is incommunicado so I can't get it renewed.

I've therefore registered a new domain name, www.whatifmodellers.com (note the two 'l's, non-American English standard spelling) and set up the forum, as you were all about to lose access to the forum.

If you are still using www.whatifmodelers.com please switch to www.whatifmodellers.com for now. Once Tom is back, we can decide on what to do (renewing the old name with ICDSoft was quite costly, I believe).

Sorry, was asleep. I've renewed it with ICD for the time being as transferring the domain name isn't very transparent from a cost prespective.

No, just one. We just have two web addresses, pointing to the same site. Makes it easier for some people to transition, and accounts for regional spelling differences. At least for the time being.

What, you mean you're seeing the Elkarte version of the site? You shouldn't be. The SMF version ("blue site") is the official version.

Me too. When I tried the old link, used for years, I get the green elkarte, last post july 14.

gives me the Elkarte forum main page, with links to the subforums showing as

Yes. there was an issue with apache configuration on the server which meant it somehow was matching www.whatifmodelers.com to the wrong site (elkarte.whatifmodelers.com). I have resolved it, now I am awake

Now you can use either name. At present, www.whatifmodellers.com is the default.

It always bugged me it was the US English spelling.
