Or the Beasts from the Black Lagoon.

Nothing quite like making a difficult to handle aircraft more difficult to operate.

Good project. What kit will you use as basis?

Matchbox Helldivers  and I have some PM  model Floatfires  in the stash which I guess will make the finished product a Hellfire

                             Helldiver             Spitfire Mk.V
Empty weight:         10,547lb             5,045lb
Max' TO weight:       16,616lb             6,700lb

I think you need to find some much bigger floats  ----------
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Spit floats might be a bit weak indeed, compared to the big Helldiver : the RW was like this

maybe He115 would do it? Some years ago I was using Aeroclub vacform floats, and I fit some on the Matchbox Helldiver :

Ooooops  Euston we have a problem

Meh, go ahead and use the Spit floats, just make it a trimaran;D

He 115 size or from a Matchbox Twin Otter would have been my suggestion, too. A He 115 donation would also offer the benefit of a strut arrangement that looks very similar to the one in the picture. The Helldiver is a massive beast - with floats it looks like a packet!

Captain Canada

:thumbsup:Needs a big single float like the Kingfisher and a catapult

Modelling quickly may have a slight downside in that the floats have already been deployed. Plan b maybe
