This is the Revell ADF kit with a tail base from the Academy kit, intake, gear doors, exhaust, and MLG wheels from the Hasegawa kit
Home made decals made on my computer with white decal paper
This is before final primer
Man, we should have cloned twenties. Jackson wouldn't have given a poo-poo.

Very nice, but, but, but, why the USPS??

Close up of side
The refueling decal is from the Italeri kit
Note the eagle behind the canopy, since so many Vipers have a Falcon or other mascot

Tail shot
I chose the fictional airframe # because I read somewhere that the USPS changed it name or something in 1970
Also chose to do this AC since my dad retired from the USPS several years ago and my first job was with the Clemson student post office

Hey there KD,

Looks like a cool subject....most of us just do different country builds of stock aircraft...it is nice to see some imagination in a completly different direction.

Just a note.......do you think you have enough A-10 kits???? What do I count in those pictures??? At least 6?? Possibly 9?? Must really love the A-10!!
Thanks

Thanks man.  I actually have 19 Monogram A-10s, 2 Tamiya and 1 AMT.  Also note the 16s in the back ground.  I have 36 Hasegawa, 4 Academy, 2 Revell, 1 Monogram and 1 Italeri.
I have a few more What if F-16s in progress, but I won't be able to finish them for a while.  One is a Block 30 CF-166 of the CAF, and 2 are embargoed Pakistani F-16As.  I haven't painted them yet, but those 2 ex Pak jets will be in Philippine Air Force markings including one in the Blue Diamond aerobatics team scheme.
Here's a graphic I made

*Chuckle*  I'm going to have to run that one by my friends still working on the F-16. :D

Why not ? What if...
Very beautiful result indeed  , congratulations.
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Great finish, but when are we going to see Lance Armstrong's personalised version ?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
