And there were pink PR spits during WW2.  IIRC they didn't call it pink & gave it a more manly name, but it was still pink.

The RN wasn't afraid to call it pink, Mountbatten Pink to be specific, after a manly man.  :ar:

'Course the common salt promptly renamed it "Nipple Pink".  :rolleyes:

I have HMS Jersey (a real DD, not a what-if BB) on the ways, and she will be in that colour.
