Its that time of year again. my yearly trip down to the Bristol area is beckoning.

or more correctly. the IPMS Avon show
on Sunday 21st of August. at the leisure centre, Kennedy Way, Yate, South Gloucestershire, BS37 4DQ.

kick off for the public is 10am.

The What if? sig has a stand at this one, with 4 tables to play with this year. So plenty of room for any of the forum members who happen to be from that neck of the woods to display a few of their models............Yes this is an open invitation to south western based forum members who are not ipms or sig members, just pm me if you do want to come and join in the mayhem.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

I'll be there, but you probably guessed that already. I can almost SEE the place from here!  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

I'm afraid I can't manage, Carlisle is too far away for a day trip.  Please could someone post lots and lots of  pictures?   I'm sure many people would be most grateful!

Might be able to manage this one, pending the boss' decision on whether I can have the day off. I can bring a couple of models if that's the case...
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

thanks martin for the slideshow of photos.

i claim responsiblity for some of the models  ;D inc. the crimson lake avro 720, the 19 sqn P1121, the 257 sqn SR177 and the He-70.

it was a very good show and IPMS avon did very well indeed.

i also think it was one of the best displays the SIG has done in a while and had some great models on show, especially andrew's SUPERB
supermarine 545 scratchbuild.

The last dozen photos have now been uploaded.

One forum member took up our offer of display space. AndrewJ made the trip from Brecon with his excellent kit bashed 48th scale Supermarine 545.
Andrew, your more than welcome on the SIG stand any time mate :)
