Orange Hobby from China do a range of 1/35th aftermarket resin and photoetch add ons for various Armour builds however they have recently started to do resin warships in 1/700.

Their first ship is the South Korean Navy LHD Dokodo

http://www.orangehobby.com/logs/124135152.html

This is a superb resin kit, with a built in dock, one piece finely moulded hull and island togther with its own estched brass set, turned brass sat domes, decals and their new Cougar type helicopter in resin with PE doors & blades !!!.
The best bit is unlike similar kits with a £100-£150 price tag this came in at about £25 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Might please our Australian friends as their new LHD Canberra class are based on this ship, plus Orane Hobby are also doing 1/700 NH-90s

They also have the current HMS Ocean and HMS Hermes during her Falklands service.  All of them are HIGH quality and well worth the price.  Go get one and see for yourself

Battlefleet models sells the ships for only $5 flat rate shipping and free shipping for over $100.  Best deal I've seen yet on them.  http://www.battlefleetmodels1.com/id59.html

Ohh i got the Ocean as soon as it came out and i actually suggested to them that they do Hermes with the 30th coming up as at the time they were looking at more modern current subjects, i had to sell the concept by pointing out the ship is still in active service with the Indian navy and that as well as the falklands the ship could be also done as a 70's commando carrier or 60s conventional carrier. So yeap i was rather chuffed when it was announced and eventually released  ;D.

I wonder if we could tempt him into doing CVA-01 or Malta in 1/700, now they have done Graf Zeppelin, although those are quite big ships ?

Well seeing as how CVA.01 is in my scratch build list they'll wait until one day after I build her and get her completely finished and am polishing the display case to announce the kit  ;D

Let me extend a huge THANK YOU for getting Hermes pushed through!!!  I'll be getting one for Christmas probably to add to my whiff Falklands fleet I'm building.

You could suggest they make an H-Class BB to complement the Graff Zepp but wait!!!  IHP is going to be making an H-Class BB in 1/700 and in....PLASTIC!!!  It won't be out for probably 2 years but its coming!

Ohh you'll like the Hermes kit but remember to order extra SHARs as well as these are more detailed than similar plastic versions.

You'll enjoy scratch building the CVA-01 as its quite different to some of the more standard carriers the stern can be a bit tricky to work out shape wise from the various drawings and artist impressions (Rebuilding the Royal Navy is a handy reference as it includes drawings of the hull form). Plus i see we should have some resin Buccaneers soon to help make up the airgroup.

Nice to see Mike Bartel dipping into injection moulding, i would have thought he would have started with the Montana class before the H class, hopefully he will do all the follow battleships including the Lion, although his Invincible and St George 1922 Battlecruiser & Battleships would be rather nice as a full kit

If you want to suggest some more RN carriers then try the Centaur Class.  Good amount of possibilities there from 1950's era jet carriers to the first helo assault carriers in the 1960's and 1970's.  Would love an Albion and Bulwark circa 1970's and Centaur herself in the 1950's with Sea Vixens

One other thing, ask them to try and include HANGAR DECKS in the future please!!!!

Saw over on Britmodeller that they're doing an injected 1/72nd F-35C with wing fold, open weapons bay and a deck tractor. Panel detail looks extremely heavy but it is a test shot so maybe they'll get it fixed? http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234951986-172nd-lockheed-martin-f-35c-lighning-ii-by-orange-hobby-test-shot-pics/
