Right, started this build especially for the forum ('cuz if I post this anywhere else I get laughed off the internet): the 2C-130 Hercules "Orthrus".
Bit of backhistory, because some of you might not be familiar with the type...

After a major cock-up at the Lockheed production plant in Marietta, Georgia (someone who shall remain nameless accidentally added a zero to the latest order for some new AC-130H Spectres' by the USAF. This landed Lockheed in a spot of bother because they where now left with heck of a lot of fuselages that where not going anywhere. So what to do?

Some too-clever-for-his-own-good type fellow at the plant started to play around at the back of the warehouse (in his own lunchtime, thank you very much) with two fuselages, some bits and pieces from other planes they had laying around and a weldingtorch and came up with the behemoth you are starting to see here.
The right halve of the plane is used for AWACS and is stuffed with all kinds of electric gadgets and gizmo's, the left one has the pilot's station and the weaponry that came with the Spectre, plus some extra punch in the form of an AIM-9 firing canon in the turret atop the fuselage.

Oh, did I mention it's in 1/700?

True story, really!  ;D

Thiel

All it needs is a gigantic bomb hanging between the fuselages.

Work In Progress ::

Lots of stuff

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Bl00dy HeII SF,
What took you so long to get here
That is so phenomenal.

Alle kunst ist umsunst wenn ein engel auf das zundloch brunzt!!

Sic biscuitus disintegratum!

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

I'm sorry, did you say AIM-9 firing cannon? :o :o  Wow, you'd be popular with missile manufacturers!

JayBee

OK I have calmed down.
So where did you get the 1/700 Hercs, and are those C-141 wings?

There you go, one pic with two answers:

And C-141 enginepods. With the Herc's props.

The BLU-82 daisy cutter?

MMmmmaybe an updated version :). Was thinking more in the lines of a parasite fighter myself, because that never seemed to have caught on, therefore I like the whole idea, but that bit of fireworks might be nice too.

I wouldn't worry about what anyone else has to say about these things,

this sat in the front foyer of the Lockheed main office for years.

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Wow! It must be gigant or better ...supergigant

I know for a fact that there's a 1/72 scale one built too ---

Yes indeed, one used to appear at UK shows 5-6 years ago, and I think Ms. Lindsey Mumford built it. It was carried around on the roof of quite a small car, VW Polo size or thereabouts. Quite what the other traffic thought has not been recorded... ;D
