USAAF P-48 Grumman Hellcat

Here is the Grumman F6F-5 in USAAF Markings.  This is the Heller 1/72 F6F. I had some decals left from an P-51B I did a year ago and though that the "Old Crow" markings would look good on a Hellcat. The model is mostly out of the box other than colors and markings.  A quick and easy build for a change.

It may be olive, but not drab!

Probably the pilot had to keep his feet constantly on the rudder, as the plane had a tendency to veer off toward the sea.

Ohhhh very nicely done. A lot better than my attempt of ten years ago All though I called it the P-49



I used spare Matchbox P-47 markings. And it was also the Heller F6F-5

I like this idea, and the model is really awesome but the yellow hub of the propeller.... is the only thing I don't like.
