This one caused a few head aches with the punters at todays Hendon show :) It caused quite a few double takes.

The avro Mancunian, was what happened to those few surviving Manchester's after the Lancaster started to enter service.
BOAC used them mainly to replace their older Whitleys. This one spent most of its wartime service with BOAC on the ball bearing run into Sweden.

Most wonderfully executed, Mr Higgs! This baby has all the bells and whistles, from the superbly rendered RAF camo to the stroke of genius using those BOAC ball-bearing run markings!

the Reg letters are from a real Lancastrian. So it added to the head snapping double take factor  ;D ;D

A great idea, but didn't the Manchester have the central tail fin and smaller outrigger fins?

[edit--just Googled some pics of Manchesters with "Lancaster" tail setups---sorry]
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!
