Atlantis

Sort of a Double-whif, since it will carrying the CST-250. Progress as of 11/28 MSLCA= Multi-purpose Spacecraft Logistics Carrier Aircraft.

The mounting posts are from main landing gear on the Sphinx donor kit and the nose landing gear from the V-22 Osprey I posted at the beginning of this year.

It's going to be wearing the colors of the United States Civilian Space Exploration Consortium, consisting of NASA, United Space Alliance, SpaceX, SpaceDev, Bigelow Aerospace, and Armadillo Aerospace (est. 2017). This aircraft is set up so that it can transport a variety of cargo, such as the Falcon  9, CST-100, Dreamchaser, or Bigelow inflatable space station modules internally. Externally, it has mounting posts that can accommodate larger space planes such as the Boeing CST-200 , CST-250 (Cargo variant of the CST-200), the Lockheed L-4200, and  L-4400.

LOL!!!  So you did manage to get your hands on a C-17.  OK, disregard my spirited promotion of the 777 as a carrier aircraft.

Looking forward to colors on it.

BTW, got pics of the Lockheed L-4200 or L-4400?

Dunno, I'd like to see a Triple-7 as a carrier aircraft.  Although a 17 as an MSLCA has some interesting appeal for it.

Nice designs!  Look forward to seeing them come to life.

Scoot, I've got a 777 set aside for a carrier plane for my builds (along with a few surprises).

Well, I've got it painted. All I have to do now is touch up a few places and add some decals. As far as paint scheme, think 747 shuttle carrier  crossed with Fat Albert.
