Random kitbash

This is just a random kitbash I threw together from the junk box. It's not really finished but I lost interest so it's been sitting around.

It's supposed to be a 1/72nd scale miniature aircraft (similar to the BD-5) but a slightly larger and more useful take on the armed BD-5 concept.

I had a tiny toy X-3 stiletto, probably roughly 1/144 scale (I don't remember where I got it, but it didn't even have windows, they were painted on) and chopped the nose off. Grafted a 1/72nd scale Arii BD-5 cockpit to the fuselage, and added 1/144 scale F-16 wings and vertical stabilizer. I don't remember where the elevators came from.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy

Looks a really nice "concept" aircraft
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Reminds me of a Harrier or other VSTOL prototype.  Neato

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

A very creative and interesting use of odd parts.  Well done.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Thanks for the comments everyone

I'll probably go ahead and finish this one (still have some filling to do on the bottom) and then do some more scale o rama / kitbashing. For some reason lately I'm in a small aircraft kick...

What is the beautiful little twin-boomer on the left? Will you create a topic about it? That would be pleasant... ;D

Agreed - it's got Scaled Composites and Edgley all over it; a little Ares, a little Optica, etc.
Makes me want to do it to a CT-114...  :drink:
