Now I know how excited a hard vaccum feels on hearing that particular announcement.

Drew Manton has uploaded a rather extensive review of the 1/72nd scale Fujimi F-35B Lightning II that includes close up images of almost every sprue in the kit.

That looks one AWESOME piece of moulding, but then Fujimi always were ahead of the game, or used to be anyway.

I expect it will cost a pretty penny but I'll just HAVE to get one, if only to check how accurate their lift fan is.  ;) ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I'm gobsmacked.

1/700 AMAGI!!!

There's a kit made for whiffers, seeing as the ship was never completed (first due to the Washington Naval Treaty, then to earthquake damage).

The new Fujimi 1/700 of the IJN Battlecruiser Amagi has now been released and is in stock at HobbySearch.

The Amagi was one of the post WW1 super battleships & battlecruisers that were cancelled as part of the washington treaty. Amagi was originally going to be completed as an Aircraft Carrier as per her sistership Akagi but the hull was damaged beyond repair in the 1923 earthquake. Nice to see a mainstream producer touch on some of the projected ships as well as the actual warships

Very surprised about this news from Kampfgruppe144, Fujimi are doing a 1/144th scale Nakajima G10N Fugaku in October! From the Hobby search description (semi-finished product kit) they seem to be pre-painted/partly assembled and available in four different schemes at 3,000 Yen each (£23.81) plus a combi pack of all four for 12,000yen (£95.24).

Not a kit in the glue-and-paint sence, but never the less worth mentioning here since it is a whif.

Fujimi have announced an all-new tooling of a 1/72 F-15E Strike Eagle!

CLICKY!

I could have done without the separate engine, but if it's anywhere as nice as their recent Raptor and JSF, I think we might finally be getting a decent Strike Eagle.

Moritz
