With the destroyer taking so long to do,Heres the progress on the project within a project build.

I think if Im honest I would have prefered to convert the later Goodyear built bubble top,but as I could only beg a late French Corsair off  IHG this is what im working with.

Cannons and prob boss from the Airfix Seafire.  Tip tanks.........? not to sure yet Im thinking they have been done to death on Corsairs.......................BUT......................the jury is still out.

Didnt seem right to post it with the maritime stuff.

The spinner certainly adds something to the Corsair.  My first thought was that you had opted for a Centaurus engine in place of the Pratt & Whitney R-2800.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

I remember a 1970's carpet pattern that looked exactly like that  - But somehow, and I'm being serious here, those warship greys & blues look strangely correct on the F4U.
