Roll up, roll up...

Some details here at Amazon

Sorry it's a bit pricey, but it's a big fat book with bags and bags of illustrations and photos, mostly in colour, and a whole chapter on unbuilt versions of particularly interest to Whiffers...

;D

Interesting scheme depicted there, it's not one of the ones in Paul Lucas' book in that it has 'normal' roundels on the fuselage sides, whereas Paul's book shows the mixed chamo/white scheme to have pale blue/red roundels in that position.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit - the cover scheme is the BAC provisional camo layout but as I do not think the RAF would not have accepted white radome etc. and low vis roundels on camo, they've been changed to be black with full colour roundels. Chaff/flare pods on the outboard pylons. Nothing on the inboards as the contents - either drop tanks or nukes - have been dropped already. Ronnie Olsthoorn (Skyraider3D on here) is the artist - and a stunning job he has done too. You wouldn't believe the detail he's put into this! The cover coincidentally does a great job of reflecting the BAC 'under the radar screen' advert (that's the view on the way in in, cover can be the view on the way out!) and once we'd noticed that, part of the skyline in the nuked city was altered to be similar to the city in the ad. Big prints will be available from Ronnie later in the year!

Whiffers should enjoy the chapter on the GOR.339 contenders too, as the drawings are somewhat more detailed than those previously published.

Damien

Is there a reason Amazon.UK have changed its status to unavailable ?

Will the book still be available from them or will it be better to get direct from your website whens its available ?

Cheers

Robert - no, sorry. Order from my web site - www.tsr2.info - if you want a signed copy!

Geoff - cos they're idiots? Same reason they're still using the wrong cover art I guess.

Book is, I understand, at the printers now, so expecting to see the first hard copies in a couple of weeks, and assuming they've haven't printed it upside down and back to front, should be on sale a couple of weeks after that - looks like late September/early October publication date now.

DamienB

Crowood have confirmed a publication date of 25th October.

My advance copy has arrived - turns out there is a bonus feature. It's heavy enough that you can use it to batter people to death with...

thatll be handy, just recieved a copy of the Tim Laming Mclellan book
