The MiG-37, NATO codename "Ferret" was first seen in Nowosibirsk in 1978. It appeared to be a MiG-37A, early production aircraft type. USAF was shocked to discover, that the Russian had their own "Senior Trend" Program. It even appeared, that they were much further in stealth research and design than their western counterpart.
Russian defense now shows for the first time pictures of a MiG-37A.
No BuNo or other signs of identification are visible on this aircraft. Only the bort red "36" is visible.
In fact, the Ferret is not only a fighter, but has also the ability to carry out RECON - Missions. Two camera windows are located in the nose, in addition to the IR-Pointer.

Russians call the Ferret officially ворон - > "Raven"

The large exhaust is well protected by the airframe.
Rumours says, that a MiG-37B is now in service since several years, but no pictures are available yet....  :banghead:

Yes, here are the "very true" and "very first" pictures ever! ;D (our spy pretended to be a what-if dreamy modeller to avoid being murdered before revealing these photos to the World, and enemy intelligence has been compeletly fooled )...

Nice work Matt.  Is that 1/48th scale or 1/72nd scale?  It is difficult to determine from the images you have posted.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

These photos were taken by a RAF SR-71 over an unknown airbase in Poland 2 years ago. It was thought to be a mock-up...

Then it looks like the MiG-37B is the export version for Russian Allies...
And according to the photo taken by the RAF Blackbird, the Polish AF uses the Ferret as a day striker...

I'm glad my words made you smile as absurd, but the most important is that your model made us smile of enjoyment with a feeling of accute beauty. -_-
