So Thorvic and I were having a discussion about our upcoming Sensible Week (where it's all sensible, because it's silly to be sensible on a silly site with silly people so all the more for the sensible people who think we're silly) and we had a little debate.

I say we should have this starting April 1-7, to usher in April Fool's day. That gives you guys 3 months to get your models done.

Geoff thinks we should have this June 1, as this is neither too soon or too late and will give everyone 6 months to build, research, PSR, rivet count, etc.

So after calling each other silly names and accusing each of having a mother for a hamster and a father smelling of elderberries, we have decided to put this on a vote.

So what do you say?

We should have it in April, as in, everything goes up on the front page on April 1.

In Thorvic's defense I can see how having extra time might be of benefit since modeling revolves around events in the real world (well hopefully for all of us), plus having more time will allow more time to really go JMN on the project.

I think:
Due date 3/31, it's a real-world build.
Entries may be anything that really was - but prefer some "truth is stranger than fiction" builds.

Just my opinion.

I would request that you attempt to define sensible. I do not think that you will, or can, succeed.

Concur, brother JimB! I don't think I've built anything truly "real world" in the last 10 years. I'm not sure I have a prayer here...

I had to vote April...gotta line up with April Fool's Day. Might I suggest we go until April 15th so it could be book-ended with Income Tax Day?

So is it planning on a week to just post up Sensible builds or is it a Group Build?

From the other thread I started, I would be more inclined to not make it a GB.

A couple of points and going with my Evil Git handle

1. Which ever date is selected it becomes sensible week where real world stuff is done, this means therfore that we won't be accepting requests extensions (This is why i suggeted July so members don't find the 10 week deadline too tight as we wont ket the theme drag !)

2. As Phillip suggested this aint going to be a Group Build, this will be article based to go on the front of the website, and before you ask NO the Admins won't be writing up and posting these build articles for you !!!. The Article facility is open to all members, the admins just approve the submotted article before it goes active on the website. Therefore its time you learnt how to use the facility and load up photographs into the article.
(It's about time we got some fresh articles so its a good reason for member to learn how to do it, for subsequent Whif material)

But, will we have threads to show building process?
Will die without understanding this world.

Well I've got an unusual real world build on the go at the moment  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I've got a plan do to a real world build before April anyway, fingers crossed I'll get it done. :drink:  I was thinking about the Martin Baker Meteor T.71/2, although that will probably happen later in the year & can go in next years slot if it happens again.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I'm going to do a RW And have it done By the 1st of April. I hope I'm not the April's fool. That means I can start now, right?
Look behind you!
