AN/TPS -80s Mobile Truck base extended unit

Now this is another AN/TPS Radar unit I build along with the others, at a time when I was really in Radars, especially this type of system. This one was scratch built and kit-bashed using varies parts from my scrap pile. This build was the first one I built before the M270 version. This was meant to be pulled by a truck. The radar would then be folded together for transport and split opened when in operation. You can see the similarities with the one mounted on the M270 as they share similar parts.

Wow, sensational.  You must laugh when you walk by the kits up on the model store shelves (since you can build better from scratch, anyhow).

No I do not laugh, just get inspirational to build better. I do a lot of kitbashing as well.
