This is a project i've been working on for at least 5 years now.

All the figures are unique and converted in some way, The flags are all hand drawn and painted ( You'll see i like flags ) .

the army is based upon Pope Leo X. . . . . . . . .he didn't really have one so can't go wrong can I

His Holiness in full Temporal battle aray.

Fosearini Master of the Papal Horses

Marquis De Petro Spinola ( Genoese Papal General )

Personal banners of Leo X

PART 2

Historically the cavalry banner should be white and " sprinkled " with stars, i did that way.

I based these on some written accounts of nobles in the Papal household.

the papal army was generally lacking in artillary so i thought I'd fix that  ;D  ;D  ;D

Well done!  Those are beautiful figures, and they must have taken you ages.  Judging from those artillery pieces, you've just become Games Workshop's best customer 2009!!

nev

You HANDPAINTED those flags???????? :o :o :o

Some bigger, clearer pics would be awesome

NARSES2

That is really nice work

I started a WIF Napoleonic army many moons ago when the Airfix figures came out - may revise it now using the new 28mm plastics and having just re-read some classic Charlles Grant books. Think I'll set his 18th Century scenarios in the 1800's.

So many plans  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

This is awesome really
BTW: what material are the flags made of? paper?
Will die without understanding this world.

Yes mate all the flags are paper, painted with acrillic paints and inks. You have to watch some of the papers you can get as the absorb so much moisture its really hard to paint on them.
