Thought we already had a thread for them, but obviously not.

The first EVER injection moulded British/Commonwealth tank crew set in 1/35.  Scandalous really.  Previously this would have cost you £40-50 in resin figures.

Actually Italeri and ESCI had a British and Commonwealth forces figure set that included some AFV crewmen in figure sets that were available thirty years ago with sporadic releases of the same sets over the years since then.  I had both sets at one time or another in the stash and these were purchased in the late 80s when I was stationed in Germany.

Now if they are real Brits they'll swap something for that camel and use it as a mascot  ;D

It would now be nice to see some early war crew for the Bronco cruisers

Cool Camel, just the thing for an Aden Diorama  ;D
or you could add Milan and use it for Chad

The one stood on the turret definately is, he's in the middle east/north africa & still wearing a shirt, pullover & long trousers!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I'm waiting for the Horsa, should be able to get at least dioramas from the one kit  ;D

That should read as, "I'm waiting for the Horsa, should be able to get at least four dioramas from the one kit"

Well in that case he should read "Pegasus Bridge" by Sephen E Ambrose of "Band of Brothers" fame. One of the best books on the subject that I've read and all the better because it's written by an "outsider" as such who was obviously captivated by the whole thing

Early morning/night in the desert gets damned cold, I hope you realise?  As can Winter where snow in the Western Desert wasn't that too unusual.

I've usually carried and worn a heavy coat when on exercise in the middle of the Australian desert for use at night.

The figure in question is intended to rather obvously depict Montgomery, down to the hideous double-badged beret he used to wear (which was a slight step up from the bebagded KFF he used to wear before it).
