My actual project. It is Hasegawa/Revel kit boosted by CMK cockpit and photoetcher parts from Eduard

History of aircraft:

Canadair Sabre Mk.6 buno 49 – 04281 was to the West Germany delivered as one of 225 Canadair Sabres Mk.6 produced in Canada for Luftwaffe. After assemblage and flight tests was fighter added to the JG-76 in Friedrichswerth AFB as personal fighter of hpt.Franz Wolfrum. He fight with them over borders with East Germany and claimed on them six kills of soviet and east germany fighters. After creation and formation of SJG-2 "Rall" on Regensburg AFB was transferred to this unit and fight over border against Czechoslovaks.Last flight of this plane was on 22.9.1961 when was piloted by obst.Wolfram shooted down near Líšťany village by capt.Zdeněk Uj on MiG-19S fighter.

Fighter was on fuselage and vertical tail fin painted by gloss black colour.Wings, stabilizers and nose of plane was painted by gloss red colour.Panels around guns were natural metal finish.Unit number was non-standart set behind the wing and painted by yellow colour. On nose was painted white gothic type notice "Eisenfaust" and marks of kills in lines of five marks (painted was six East Germany cockardes and fourteen Czechoslovak cockardes). Before them was painted Knight cross with Oak leaves award with number 86.On vertical tail fin was painted big red Maltese cross which substituted standart german cross.

Obst.Franz Wolfram *8.11.1921, +22.9.1961

Franz Wolfram was born on 8.11:1921 in Wilhelmshaven. After passing of flight training was transferred to II/JG-54 where fly on Bf-109F and G and FW-190A fighters on eastern front and shoot down 82 soviet fighters. For it was awarded by Knight cross. In 1994 was as hauptmann send to the JV-44 where was trained for fly on Me-262 fighters. He shooted down three B-17G bombers and one P-51D fighter but in March 1945 was in combat over Kulmbach shooted down in flames by Hawker Tempest Mk.V fighter.Hpt.Wolfram with burnt hands bails out and captured but because other pilots didn't saw parachute, hpt.Wolfram was assigned as killed in action."In memoriam" was awarded by Knight cross with Oak leaves.

After the end of World War II and repatrioation he entered to reformed Luftwaffe and after passing of refresher training was assigned as pilot to the JG-76 where he fly on F-84 and later on Canadair Sabre Mk.5 and Mk.6.During service in JG-76 he claimed six kills of east germany fighters.

Breakpoint in his carrer was creation of SonderJagdGeshwader – 2 "Rall" which was formed in Regensburg under command of freshly promoted obstlt.Wolfram.In following months, SJG-2 and obstlt.Wolfram fight with Czechoslovaks over Šumava and obstlt.Wolfram claimed here fourteen kills and in addition, he was occurred to legend of bloody butcher and gets respect of Czechoslovaks.Unfortunatelly, his career was close to the end.On 22.9.1961 was in dogfight decapitated by 30mm grenade from MiG-19S piloted by capt.Zdeněk Uj and Wolframs Sabre crashed near Líšťany.Remains of obst.Franz Wolfrum was buried in military cemetery in Pilsen with complete military tributes.

Wow!  Nice detail work; really captures the rugged use of an actual cockpit.
Hard to believe this is as small as 1:48...looks more like 1:24 scale!

Yes.Red wings and stabilisers, black fuselage and vertical fin.Marking is made by my comrade PantherG.Red vertical fin is only technologic because I will masked here red maltezan cross.

Wow - excellent colour scheme: this is going to look really good!

Great Looking Scheme. Love the tally record on the side. Would I be offending if I suggested tht his WW2 victories were painted on the rudder inWW2 style, seeing as he does have the right to carry them on his mount.

Tally records are only diference between this scheme and real model.I would like realised it along with this painting

Which will be set on plane in one of this options (probably first one)

Still liking this, but I would suggest that the victory markings be painted on the open gun-bay panel, then display the panel, perhaps resting on the nose wheel...... just a thought.
