Thought I'd start a thread for truly inspirational bits of modelling you've found. 

To kick us off, a scratchbuilt 1/700 scene from The Perfect Storm

This one's my current favorite. Yes, it's not such a spectacular display of skill as some, but the sense of humor is priceless:

We have a guy here in Salt Lake who makes some of the best dioramas I have ever seen.  He also likes to do some humorous stuff.

Love the "Farside" inspired cavemen  ;D Was always one of my favourite cartoons and I've kept all the desk calendars I ever had  :thumbsup:

My favourite dio is the one that got Best of Show at some Chicago model show a couple of years ago. It featured a sunken Sherman tank discovered by a group of divers. Simply amazing. Unfortunately, I can't find it on-line at the moment.  :banghead:

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

But sometimes, a simple base plus figures can be effective....
