Obvioudly many of us know that Scale Model World will be upon us in a couple of weeks and i was wondering who's going from the forum, i know many of the SIG members from What-If, R&D and Cold War will be attending, but what about those from the forum who are not currently members ? (If you do please feel free to come and say hello at any of the mentioned SIGs as you will find they are all manned by members of this forum  ;D

Cheers

I'll be on Door Duty greeting the hoards as they enter the Centre, directing them with a Squeaky Rubber Chicken to the correct entrance. but only from 8am to 9am, and until 9am, only IPMS(UK) Members with Exhibitor Passes can enter Hall 1 and 2. After 9am IPMS(UK) only can enter Halls 1 7 2, and after 10am, you can all enter!!
EVERYONE can enter HALL 3 for a cup of coffee, Bacon Sarnie etc., charged at a big price, as well as look at HALL 3 Exhibits.
I'm on duty with my minder and the squeaky Rubber Chicken from 8am until 9am.
After that, I'm loose in the building for two whole days.

I'll be getting there on the Friday night for both days.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I shall be there from Friday night till Monday morning, visiting a couple of museums both going there and coming back.

Hoping to visit the Boulton-Paul Heritage Centre in Fordhouses, not far off the M54 near Telford. Apparently it opens between 1pm and 4pm on Friday afternoons. http://www.boultonpaul.com/

As mentioned elsewhere, I'll be there around 1300 on Friday as Narses' apprentice to assist with the setting-up. Then I'll be chauferring/caring for Dork on Sunday. Looking forward to setting a record of five straight Nationals without buying a single kit !!

I'll be there on the Saturday...all on my own...:(
None of my modelling mates can make it this year so it'll be a great day of buying everything off their shopping lists that they've given me!...damn them!...:D
It's a big, wide world out there...so if it's all the same to you I'll just stay indoors!

It was revoked after the now infamous "I bet I can drink more than the entire IPMS Deutschland put together...." incident of 2006. That was a dark time best forgotten...... (shakes head sadly and exits stage left).

I am now going to be there on the Friday, early evening I would say, and staying at the Holiday Inn, so not far to stagger, from tiredness I must add.

I might be there on one day. Possibilities are:

1. Go to SMW on Saturday, then go straight to biker's bonfire bash in Warrington. Downside = long day & need to be on bike, which limits kit-buying potential.

2. Go to SMW on Sunday. Downside = motivation might be hard to find depending on how "tired and emotional" I get at the bonfire bash..... :drink:

However BOTH options might be ruled out by an excess of RWSTD (Real World Stuff To Do), so I won't know until the last minute.
