4 or five bladed prop, with an Alclad 'chrome' spinner ?

All panel lines removed ?

Wingtips 'cropped' ?

George Barris style paint scheme ?

There's still no 'popcorn' smilie and this project really justifies it. Good luck, Mr E.

Confuscious (maybe)

Damn it . Stop reading my mind.  Here we are at the first iteration, smoother by a bundle, but lots of work yet to do:

Barry Krell

You may want to think about filling any excess panel lines.  Fuel filler caps and access hatches - keep them but anything else, fill it.  The RAF PRU Spitfires had every panel line filled and sanded smooth and then polished to hell to wring every single MPH out of the airframe.

Be careful when you're sanding down the inner wing blisters ion the upper surface, unless you've back filled them on the inside.

Everything was backfilled...no worries.

starting on the wing mods, as well as the tail...

This is gonna look killer!

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

The black is just to look for flaws, sorry !  I am thinking a nice bright red with black trim.

Sauragnmon

Still a sexy choice of colours, black-trimmed red, beautiful combination.
