The German jet twin-boomer (Focke-Wulf Fw-92? Older than Bf 109?) has its picture called Martinproto and I don't understand where this name comes from. Apparently, this is a What-if jet version of the piston Mitsubishi J4M1 Senden (see below), while different from the true project J4M3 jet (see my site http://cmeunier.chez-alice.fr/update_FG.htm, with find Ctrl-f : J4M).
Interesting.

A good point, even if straying into JMN territory .....

choose one of the following options:

1) FW-92 is a deliberate reuse of an old code to hide the development (as per bf-209)
2) Its just a random made up number
3) it doesnt really matter,

and, yest,,, it is just a rehash of the IJA/IJN airframe

as for the file name Martinproto, it is a concatenation of  Martin + proto - that also means nothing - like DSC000234.jpg

Having fun saying anything anyhow, I like it  while, you know, what-ifers are half serious, inventing crazy things with very serious stories or serious colors (or serious kits, at least). ;D
