Thats the new Japanese stealth fighter. Only based on a mock-up built in France...

And its only a concept as well.  In theory its not the next JASDF fighter, but the next but one.  In reality its a "please America, sell us the F-22 or look - we'll build our own!" ploy.

It indeed looks somewhat like the Boeing 7E7 did - a fantasy project. Who knows, maybe they will actually build it (finger crossed )

Interesting thing is, Korea seems to be working on something too:

I know we have been told not to ask, but that means someone has to.
So what the heck is /k/ ?

They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

/k/ is the Weapons directory on a certain image-only board. If you want to get fired from work, please visit the main site and it's 'other' directories.

The 7E7, was not a 'fantasy project', it became the 787.

I know an engineer who worked in PD (Product Development) on the various Yellowstone concepts that led to the 7E7/787 as well as the Sonic Cruiser.
None of them are what can be called 'fantasies'. Aerospace firms create any number of concepts that do not lead to hardware, the folk that populate this 'What-If?' site create fantasies.

I especially like that Sukhoi Logo in stabilizers.....

Dragon, I think you'll find that supposed to be the emblem of the JASDF APW (Air Proving Wing).

I was looking at the image in the Japanese magazine CG Virtual Scoop that was part of the first post in this thread. Is there any more to it? If yes, can anybody post it? I am going to try to make a scratch or kit bash model of it, but with a YF-23 wings and rear fuselage; also use regular exhausts cans from on the F135 engines. What type of landing gear is used on the image? It looks real good.
Thanks!

Really good, indeed!
Thanks for posting.
