You've seen the kits, now see them in action.
I will definitely have to watch this one.

I've had this one in my Netflix queue ever since I heard it was coming out.  I've only watched the first little bit of the scene, and I like the twin-engine pushers.  I've seen the kits of the Shinden lookalike, but I wouldn't mind seeing one of those.

There's some rather interesting aircraft in there... the tanker looked almost like a bigger Beriev design.  Here's a few others I noticed that looked interesting:

4:44 - Pusher Twin-tail heavy fighter
3:26 - YB-49 with attitude
5:30 - Pusher HE-177 Turboprop?
0:36 - Twin Engine Canard Pusher

I couldn't help but think of the 155-esque one as a turboprop because look at the front of the engines - they have intakes almost like a turboprop design.  The Really heavy bombers are  a lot like the B-49, but with contra-props, and the nose is very different, almost Heinkel-esque for the framed look, or like a B-39.  The Twin-engine Canard aircraft seem to have been a tactical bomber design - not a bad optimization of all that open fuselage space really.  The Pusher twin-tail at 4:44 reminded me of a 110, but it was obviously single seat and all forward in armament layout.

Thanks for the link. I'd heard of the film and seen a few stills, but nothing else.

The mix of 2D and 3D animation strikes me as odd; is it par for the course for films like this?

Sauragnmon

Consider, it's not so uncommon as it might seem - mainstream animated shows these days do the same, blending two and three dimensional - Futurama, for example, does this.

:o Awesome!  I want to see that film! NOW!

No release date for Germany known yet. I wouldn't mind English dub, but the Regional Code is 1 - "US and Canada" only.  :banghead:

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

The Rostock aircraft carrier at 3:02 actually has an island superstructure that looks kinda like that of the Graf Zeppelin.

Found a couple more clips...

This one's got what looks like a P-51 on drugs, with an interesting bend to the wing in a somewhat Phantom-esque tip-up angle.

I thought there was another, but it was the same clip posted before.
