WHAT?  :o

That's got to be HUGE!

Around 2 foot by 2 and a half.  I'd guess with Master Box's range being mostly figures it's intended to be used as part of a diorama, even with just a few paratroops alighting that's going to up a good chunk of table space at a show.

1:700 Jutland battleships!?? WANT!!!

What surprises me is the scale suggested by their comment, about 250 vessels took part in the battle.  That's a lot of kits, even if they focus on ship classes. :o

All these new releases seem to suggest that Master Box are diversifying from their established figure range.   Knowing their reputation for turning stuff out that's off the beaten path, we might well be seeing some interesting stuff.

You might be glad to hear that there are strong rumours they're planning a 1/35 Dak as well then Steve....

Obviously MB has identified strongly with the WWI anniversary.  They have also found themselves a niche with the 1/700 ships.  I'd be interested perhaps in getting some of them.  Been thinking about diversifying into ship building but am a bit bored with WWII and while I'd like modern, there doesn't seem to be much of a range available except in resin and the prices of those I find a bit off putting.

A decent range of WW1 infantry figures would be nice, too.

Austro-Hungarian/German, Empire/Commonwealth (Brit, Aussie, Canuck, Kiwi, etc.), French, Russian, Turkish/Ottoman, etc. (s'pose we might even let the Americans in on the act).

Trench mortars, artillery, machine guns, vehicles, armoured cars & tractors, tanks, accessories, etc.

Decent poses; in action (several versions), cowering under artillery barages, resting.

Maybe some early between-wars stuff, too.

Damn! Look at the huge market they've been missing out on!

They do.  Prices seem to vary, I've seen them listed at 13 at 18.  Too rich for me at the dearer price, but I think I might pick up one each of the Somme and Gaza boxing if I can get them at the cheaper price.

They've got one set out so far, an interesting set with British soldiers escorting German prisoners at the Somme, based on a real photo.  The models seem to bring out the '1000 yard stare' well, a good figure painter should be able to really make something of this.

The WW1 Battleships have been listed for a number of years, still no artwork or release dates so i wouldn't get too excited about them. The same goes for the gliders and Transports, they had grand plans for Dak & Horsa, British and US Paras together with Ju-52 and German paras.

How many years has the 1/35 C-47 been a rumor? Seems like quite a few. As was the Horsa, so maybe the c-47 isn't too far off.

I suspect it'll be one for each class of battleship to start with, then the battlecruisers. Maybe a destroyer or two from each side.

I await the HMS Tiger kit very eagerly...

Got hold of a Somme period Mark I Female.  Looks pretty good in the box, mine has a slight twist in the hull parts which will take a little persuading to mate together.  One bonus is that it includes the anti-grenade roof.

In depth buid review on the Landships forum, they reckon it's mostly accurate and confirm the twisted hull so it's not just mine.  Includes the track grousers that were introduced on this mark.

A pair of Mark II's have also been announced:

Too much extreme rivet counting going on here for my liking!

Literrally, the guy reviewing has realised they've missed some of the rivets!  Impressive work though, there's a lot of excellent information on both the main website and the forum, a some that you won't find elsewhere as it come from private collections.
