Drop Tank GB

Over in the Swap shop, thedarkmaster started a thread wanting some drop tanks.

The discussion turned to having a group build using drop tanks as the main part of the model.  So I'm officially proposing a drop tank group build.  I'm sure there are some refinements that need to be discussed, but I think it would offer some original ideas and creative models.

^^^ i like that one,any info on it? drop tank build sounds good but all i got are 1/72 a-6 tanks and dont know if i can work that small.

this has merit  :thumbsup:...........all i need is a big drop tank in 1/24  ;D..............post war they were used to make lakesters for racing at places like bonneville salt flats

Scale to 1/44 or 1/288 if that helps, displaying in flight also get you out of building the undercarriage in those scales

It is the Malliga MAL-04 created by Horst Josef Malliga (see photo below).  It has an 8 cylinder piston engine of 300 hp and it is hoped it will make 700 km/h!
