1:72 40mm guns

I'm looking for a couple of heavy cannon to go on my DH Sand Fly for the COIN build. Either Bofors 40mm, or Vickers S guns (as found on the Hurricane tank killer). If anyone has a pair of these spare, they'd be much appreciated.

Hya Pyro,
If you struggle to find any 40mm guns, you could do what I did. I bought a Tamiya 1/35 scale 20mm flak unit thingy, and scalarama'd the guns as 40 mm bofors for one of my future gunship builds, also you could have a look on aeroclubs website as they might have something suitable for the job

SAMI does a resin Hurricane 40mm set, check out the resin sets here:

They're not far off the mark of Aviation Workshop's prices Lee, who I think produce the resin sets for SAMI ( I used to think it was Paragon who did them but I'm not so sure now)

That's interesting to know, they're really quite good, no casting blocks to cut off and very little clean up to do period.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm reluctant to spend £5.50 just to get some gun barrels, so I think I'll give the resin a miss. I'll keep my eye out for an Airfix Hurricane though.

In the meantime, if anyone has the kit in question, and doesn't need the cannons, I'd be interested in trading something for them!
