The builders ("Shawn and Colleen" from somewhere) of this car have had so many hits on their site in past few days they've had to reconfigure their webpage.

This guy doesn't waste time What-Iffing models: he uses his own CAR!

Ridiculous, insane, outlandish, or just plain boldly creative: your call.

Note the modified steering wheel-turned-flight control in the first photo.
This one shows close up view of the side-mounted blasters.

They've received a lot of flak on this but a lot of accolades too.

Love the license plate and bumper sticker (reads "R2D2 Is My Co-Pilot).

The homepage of the creators is here:

I've seen iit's great. I happened to have a look at the site as well, and the rest of the cars there are just as outlandish, but pretty cool all the same. The ultimate 'What If's'

Ginge!

I think the real question is: Can she make the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs?

Aha!  Fellow Lucasfilm fan!

The car's owner, Shawn, sent me another link to many more photos.
There's a lot more detail/work involved than I first gave it credit.
Check out the nighttime photos!

To save space, I'll just post the link:

Naaah, not a chance Amph, A wings, aren't Hyperspace capable. No R2 unit or space for hyperdrive engines.

Hmmm Lance, A Wings are hyperjump capable!  That's why they were built, to make hit and run raids on Imperial ships and installations.

;)

Yeah, yeah, but what version of Leia's haircut do you each prefer?

Speaking of Star Wars and fantastic studio scale scratchbuilt models, check out Lasse Henning's site from Norway.
