This isn't exactly my what if, but one based on the novel "Lucifer's Hammer" by Niven and Pournelle. I went by the 10ft by 40 ft dimensions in the book. I'll add the Soyuz later, school has  me busy, but I have two days off at the end of the week.  Anyway, here's the model:
