Since I already hat the camera out and set up for the SANKA MK. B REVIEW, I thought I'd go ahead and take some piccies of this neat little set as well. These weapons will come in rather handy when building a 144th scale Japanese WhIf.

Box-art:

Back of the box, with contents and painting instructions. Colours are given in FS codes and what I take to be numbers for Gunze Colours:

You get:
3x ASM-1 anti-shipping missile
3x ASM-2 anti-shipping missile
3x AAM-4 long-range air-to-air missile (look like an AIM-120, but is apparently an indigenous design)
3x AAM-3 short-range air air-to-air missile
3x AIM-7 Sparrow medium-range air-to-air missile
3x AIM-9L Sidewinder short-range air air-to-air missile
3x AIM-9P Sidewinder short-range air air-to-air missile
6x JM-117 340kg (750lbs) bomb with GCS-1 guidance section
6x Mk82 227kg (500lbs) bomb with GSCS-1 guidance section
6x Mk82 227kg(500lbs) bomb
3x CBU-87B cluster bombs
6x 25lb practice bombs
3x CBLS-200 practice bomb carriers
3x LAU-3 2.75in rocket pods

And there are also various pylons in the kit:
3x F-1 wing outboard pylon
3x F-1 centreline pylon
3x F-2 pylon
3x double ejector racks
3x quadruple ejector racks
3x LAMPS-4 launcher
3x triple ejector racks
1x F-104J launcher for underbelly Sidewinders

The weapons: Three of these sprues are included in the kit.

Decals for the weapons, printed by Cartograf:

The instructions are in Japanese only, but the drawings in the instruction and on the back of the box should suffice.
I got mine at HOBBY COLLECTIVE, as HLJ was out of stock at the time.

Very nice kit overall, although I'm not sure about the shape of the Mk82s.

Highly recommended for anyone attempting a JASDF build.
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Captain Canada

Wicked.

I've got loads of 144th scale projects that need loads.

Hm, that's a nice set. Pity they include 3 sprues instead of 4, though.

Captain Canada: Arii has a couple of 144 scale US weapons sets, if you need those.

Yes it is pricey, but just look at that decal sheet !! - I used Platz decals on my 1:48 T-33, year before last and they are superb.

Very, very tempted.

The Wooksta!

It's the Dragon kit, which according to someone* who works on several preserved examples in Australia, is a reet load of bollards.  Plus it's uber-expensive in the UK and for a few quid extra, you may as well get the CMR one.
