First of my latest.

Royal Romanian AF Lysander MK I on the Besseabian Front at the start of "Barberrosa"

My reasoning behind this was that the Romanian's used Blenheims and Hurricanes so why not Lysanders, purchased at the same time as the others. In reality they used Storch's (both imported and home built) in the liason role

Kit is the Revell Classic re-release of the Matchbox kit. Painted up in standard RAF Lysander colours using Xtracrylic, Tamiya and Lifecolour. Markings are from a generic "Axis Allies" sheet and the spares box.

Nice little kit and makes a fun build. Unfortunately I got a little carried away and fitted the wings before painting the canopy framing  :banghead: Made me use painted "decal" sheet for the first time and I'm pleased enough with the trial to use the method again - hands are getting far to shaky for painting the things freehand

My what lovely spats, Narses! The painted decal strips look great as canopy framing too. Very cool to see a lysander in Romanian markings.

I like this - seems like a nice kit and it looks completely convincing in Romanian colours

OOOH That looks rather tasty in that scheme and quite plausible, going to try a merlin powered IAR next ?

I've only got one IAR 80 in the stash - if I get another I fancy the DB 605 powered version

certainly looks good in those markings. :)
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.
