That sounds like the AEW Harrier which I think Mike McEvoy did as a April Fool for one of the modelling magazines many moon's ago, a Bobcat/Heller Harrier and a Gannet/Avenger Radome.

Its at Midland Air Musuem next to Coventry Airport. MartinH borrowed the model to use on the Viff Whiff Display, but i think the model is in either the VTOL model display in the Sea Hanger on in the Whif SIG display on the back wall of the main hanger.

at the mo its in the SIG's reserve collection stored in my loft.

Yep its the Harrier AEW-4.
It was built for an april fool article in SAM. but im not sure who by (uncle mike is a likly contender). And how it found its way to the Midland Air Museam is something of a mystery.
I always hope for the best.

Yeah, I remember seeing that article at the time and chuckling about it.  It's still a fun-looking conversion.  *smacks head* Once I get everything together again (I'm bach'ing it in Connecticut as a contract engineer and will be 'til tehy bring me in direct; meanwhile, 'most all my other stuff is back in Texas, either at home or in the remote southern storage in Waco), I need to get back to doing Harrier GR.3B and T.4B in RAuxAF markings.  These are GR.3A and T.4A SLEPS taht incorporate most of the changes made to produce AV-8Cs.

PM on its way. I've found a few pics (taken at SMW 2007) that might be helpful.
