So Roger the Cabin Boy and I got up at 0400 today and made the short drive to Scalefest.  We're both WAAAY too tired (staying up late for major combat modeling sessions) for a full report but here are some pics.....

First up, our reason for the late nights, a Hasey P-3 converted into a SAAF P-7A-

A little something in the bomb bay for the JMNs........

Don't we all look SOOO happy to be touching the Devil's Toothpicks?  Or is RtCB ready to hurl into the bucket?

Great photos.  I really like the bomb-bay!!!

We need some names to that group photo though.

Great stuff.....love the bomb bay joke, and 'the devils toothpick' !

Love the P-3, great job on that one, guys. The pipe-cleaner smoke is a neat idea as well. Thanks for posting the group shot. The only dude recognize is Brad, so it's good to put a face to the rest of the names. Glad to see you're all having so much fun !

A less hurried Scalefest report..... That was interesting, I was 15 when I last went to a modeling show. I now understand the term JMN. There was a whole lot of        when they saw all the Whiffs. I saw judges looking at large scale models with flashlights.
Now that's how you enjoy the hobby ;D...... some people actually threw up their hands and stalked away from the display table.....I was very amused.
We also got alot of very nice comments and responsed and gave away quite a few What If website  links so we should have some new viewers. Here are some photos
First a huge flying Spitfire with my small ,hot wife for scale

A railway gun I think this is 1/1 scale

Some of the stuff in front of it was 1/35-1/24 scale effin ENORMOUS
Why are these not on the FLYING SORCERY GB

Dig the P-7, also the wingtip-winder wielding Harrier seen in one of those pics, looking forward to seeing more pics from the show (if there is more to be seen).
