Comrades, the MiG-21PFMK has emerged at last from the paint shop of our beloved and revered Hero of the Soviet Union, Artiom Mikoyan!  While fully updated photos are still in development, here is the photo taken just before the machine was towed into the paint shop.  As this is written, the final markings have been applied, and now only a few areas of touchup, completion of the hook assembly, and arming the aircraft remain.

Za Rodina, Comrades!

Truly inspiring, comrade. The Imperialist-Fascist Dogs will cringe at the prospect of meeting this socialist product of dialectic Marxist-Leninist thought.
Onwards with the revolution.
Did you know that a comrade in Ireland, Mick Coyne also produced similar aircraft?

I had no idea, Comrade...thought this was all completely original, inspired by the Party's guidance, of course!  Did he also do the bulged wings to accomodate the larger gear struts?  Hmmm....hopefully the faithful workers at the paint shop will have it looking different enough from our Irish comrade's project.................

Comrade Andrei, you deserve the Hero of the Soviet Union for your unceasing work to protect the workers paradise from the capitalist imperial zionists!

Comrades, as the MiG-21PFMK project nears compleation, I am pleased to announce that the Party has seen in its wisdom to reveal to us, the workers, the full extent of the modifications undertaken to make a carrier-based MiG-21PFMK from an old 1/72 KP MiG-21MF.  Here is the list of modifications!

-FUSELAGE-
Single ventral fin replaced with twin ventral fins
Cooling intakes on ventral fin repositioned with new fin configuration
Arrestor hook installed
Large pitot boom removed from nose
AOA sensor fairing retained on nose portside from MF configuration
Revised dorsal spine to PF/PFM standard

-WINGS-
Wingfold delineation on equal line with inboard edge of ailerons
Maingear wells deepened and enlargened for clearance for larger legs
Bulges on upper and lower surfaces to provide space for bulkier landing gear
Plate installed above attachment points for maingear legs
Wing panels outboard of wingfolds increased in area with lessened sweep
Four-pylon system arranged under outboard panels
Pitot boom moved to wingtip
Landing lights repositioned forward of maingear bays

-LANDING GEAR-
Maingear legs rebuilt to strengthened, bulkier design
Maingear doors enlarged to match increase in well size
Nosegear leg replaced by bulkier unit
Nosegear oleo leg lengthened for raised nose profile

Comrade Andrei Ivanovich,

The MiG 21PFMK is an awsome example of what our glourious socialist state can achieve. It looks brilliant. We shall sweep the skies of filthy capitalist planes with these I have one question for you comrade, where did you get your A-VMF insignia from?. As I am trying to obtain several for my upcoming projects.
Any helpyou can give would be gratefully recieved my fraternal socialist brother

Spasiba, Comrade Lancerov!  Your kind words are only witness to the glory of the Party's supreme wisdom.  The aircraft will be armed and completed in a matter of hours, so be vigilant for photos from the OKB, my socialist brother!

As far as the flag marking, it was scavenged from the decals of the Revell Yak-38, once the only decent consideration for that semi landmark aircraft, being far surpassed in recent years by the Amodel offering.  They were the only ones I had, and their use was a natural deduction.

Someone should take some Forger flag decals to a capitalist printshop and make a whole sheet of them (make the capitalist slave swine assist the glorious revolution without knowing it!).

Za Rodina!!

Supertom

Comrade Andrei,

If you have not already used the Yak-38 (an ingenious design by our brilliant comrades at OKB Yakolev) decals, and you have a scanner (another capitalist invention that is being turned against them), scan then and e-mail them to me, and I can print out a bunch to be shared by our fellow socialists.

Comrades, it seems impossible for us to fail
With such glorious Socialist imagination harnessed by Marxist-Leninist dialectic philosophy, we can only succeed if the engineering prolitariate can achieve their glorious aims.
Here at Factory 3 in the South Derbyshire Workers Paradise, only 4 miles from Lenin's Socialist Dreams Brewery, the secret components from east of the Urals have been examined behind closed doors. As has been noted earlier, Imperialist-Capitalist Dogs infiltrated the factory so some components will need change, but as this will lead to a glorious superior Socialist-Bolshevik fighter to sweep the Fascist Capitalists from the skies, so much the better.
Let the Imperialist-Capitalist Dogs and their spineless lackies do their worst!
The Revolution, safeguarded by strong armed and superior willed Bolsheviks will prevail!
Beware of complacency, comrades, but we can be sure that the Marxist-Leninist
dialect will prevail.
Long Live the Revolution.
Keep vigilant!
Up Castro!!

Comrade Tomski, I regret to inform you that all markings had been applied to the aircraft by the time I found this glorious site for the Advancement of Seagoing Socialism.  In fact, this very night the aircraft was completed, armed, and judged to be satisfactory to enter production.  We certainly must find another Revell kit at worker's prices, perhaps on the capitalist Ebay where we might scavange hard-to-find materials to use against them without their knowledge, much as they did in purchasing titanium mined by Soviet workers for their extravagent SR-71 Blackbird project.  We must rise in revolution to return the favor!!!

Comrade Andrei,

Please enlighten your fellow revolutionary as to the year in which this great example of superior Communist workmanship was constructed. I need to know if this aircraft will be landing aboard the great supercarrier Lenin, or if it will be sent to that older carrier rescued from the evil Fascists and upgraded to serve the glorious Fatherland.

Comrade Iosef

Is this what you are thinking of ?

Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy

Comrade Iosef,

I would put the date of this machine at 1965, as presumably we would have launched our own carriers at that time, contrary to the ousted Kruschev's instructions...you may recall he opposed, even denied them to be built, believing rockets to be the way of the future.  Ha!  With the wisdom of the Party and of Leonid Brezhnev, we shall triumph!
