Nice work. I'm glad you see this as Hornet rather than the designer's claim that it based on Su-27

Why not lozenge?

No.  :o

Been doing some searching on the Net tonight and I'm kinda taking a liking to schemes on the Visby class corvette and/or the Chinese Type 022 missile boat.

You are right, I did not realize the PC-21 had such small wings:
see http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/scratch-building-aircraft-design-3d-cad-174/4545890-pilatus-pc-21-3-view.html#&gid=1&pid=1
And seen from above, the fin with extension looks like a big fin, yes.

I presume the idea is to make it handle more like a jet so it can take on an even bigger share of the training sylabus.

Camouflage, Colors, and Markings / Sea Shadow........in camouflage?
« Last post by seadude on Today at 04:31:29 pm »
I can't remember where I saw it, but I'm pretty sure I saw long, long ago some pictures of the real Sea Shadow stealth test ship in some sort of dazzle camouflage scheme, or..........maybe it was a modeler's build of a Sea Shadow in a dazzle Camouflage scheme.
Either way, I hit upon the idea of building the old Revell 1/144 scale Sea Shadow model in some sort of dazzle camouflage scheme. Painting the model overall black according to the instructions is soooooooo boring.
I want something different and unique, but I am unsure what type of dazzle scheme to go with and what specific colors. Any advice? I would prefer not having to mask and do curves. I'd prefer straight lines/edges only.

A very interesting pic that, taken from the other side to the one I saw.

What are the two stores on the starboard outer pylon though? The lower one looks like a 'winder with its forward fins missing.

Not sure which you mean, but the stores are:

Fuselage stations: ALARM
Sidewinder pylons: ASRAAMs
Inner wing pylons: 230 gal GR.1 drop tanks (NOT the usual 'Hindenburger' tanks seen on the F.3)
Starboard outer: PHIMAT chaff/flare pod
Port outer: BOZ chaff flare pod

I don't know why it carried two different chaff/flare pods.

That's because the BOZ pod is actually carrying a Towed Radar Decoy

Gondor

Ahhhhh that makes sense - cheers.

The Idea Bank / Re: Doctor Who?

No.  Kennedy was shot on Friday the 22nd November.  The first episode of Who was on the 23rd, the saturday.  However, because of the news overshadowing everything else (think 9/11 back in 2001 filling the news for weeks), the first episode was repeated before episode 2 on the 30th November.

Finally getting somewhere with this, just the paint to sort out, as the Tamiya raf dark green, isn't dark enough, so I am waiting for a Vallejo bronze green to arrive and go over the green. Here's some pictures of what I have done so far
https://photos.app.goo.gl/PzvueXD1B44L2hj38
The weapons will be externally carried, and consist of a pair of firestreaks and a pair of genies. The canopy, was redesigned in to the mark 3, as the pilots all complained about the lack of visibility, so a newer, and slightly better one was designed and fitted. The aircraft is in service with 19 squadron based in Germany, and it's task was t intercept Soviet bombers. More back story when I have done some more work and pictures.
