L/F Bristol Beaufort
« on: February 19, 2019, 02:08:58 pm »
Currently looking for a High Planes DAP Beaufreighter.  I know, rare as rocking horse poo but thought I'd ask anyway.

Failing that, a Frog/Novo/Spawn Beaufort would do.

The irony is that I disposed of a pair of Beauforts thinking that I'd never build them!

That's a Beaufighter - I'm after the transport version of the Beaufort.

Although the bits could be useful at that price...

I might have a FROG Beaufort Lee, I'll look in The Loft tomorrow.

Thanks guys.  I'll be seeing some friends later in the week and may be able to sort one here.

I just checked The Loft Lee, and failed I'm afraid. :-(

I must have donated to another needy cause, sorry.

There's a High Planes Beaufreighter on US Evil-Bay here.

That's what I'm looking for and I'd seen it - but I'm not paying nigh on sixty notes plus!  The kit's simply not worth that sort of money.

Yep, it's not cheap.  I thought maybe you were aware of it but didn't assume because after all we all know what assumption is the mother of...

Good luck with the search.

Saw a High Planes Beaufort (NOT a Beaufreighter) going for 15 on Collectakit today at Crewe/Nantwich, and I could have sworn I saw a Novo one going for peanuts in a plain box. I wasn't interested, but when I mentioned it back at the stand, Kit told me about this thread and I went back to get it, but could I find it? Could I hell  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: It didn't help that Collectakit had started packing up by then. They said they will make sure to have some on the stand at Cosford so if you still havn't got one by then, remember to shout about it.

A mate is digging out a Frog fuselage for me - I'm planning a serious amount of transplant surgey with a Beaufighter but I'm definitely interested in getting a High Planes one.
