Thanks!
Ahem, I am sorry that now I have glued the other half wings and the Zwilling dream disappears: this will be a Mistel as scheduled at the beginning. After these wings dry, I will be able to see how all this will/could work... ;D

I did not put in place the dorsal airbrakes, why? Ahem, they do not fit perfectly in closed position (see below), so this would require putty and I prefer putting them to garbage and filling their place directly with putty.
I add putty now on the airbrake position because sanding will not be possible anymore after building the Sukhoy cathedral:

The first sanding is done, but I am not satisfied:

So: putty again (the cathedral building will wait again):

The new sending is done, acceptable according to my (poor) standards:

Before building the cathedral with fragile fins, I start painting the underside:

The temporary status is a zwilling flying wing:

This triggered good memories of Christmas 1988 for me!  ;D

Take a look at the S/F-18 Star Hawk in the top left here.... http://www.toyark.com/starcom-vs-centurions-round-1-a-97673/
You pressed a button underneath and the two fuselages moved apart to release the central laser cannons. No batteries required, it was all spring loaded clockwork action.

Yes, I did have nearly all of these Starcom toys... still do actually!

Funny, I did not know that at all. This was not my inspiration but I invented it again... ;D

Well, with adhesive tape I am starting to see if the "fins" dimension match, building the "Sabor" (Cathedral) Mistel:

So... I have removed the triangle on top of the "true" fins, to make them flat, a little smaller. Then I have glued the first parts and this is drying:

(the top Su-27 component will have the normal triangle on top of the fins, and its central "fin" will be at the rear, not to be used as support. The 2 other tailplanes will become foreplanes of the top component, while extra little parts could make a biplane canard foreplane on the lower Su-27. Crazy? yes, joyfully...)

Amazing as always!
I couldn’t help thinking earlier, what if you had glued four wings to one fuselage Star Wars X wing style?
There's someone in my head, but it's not me!

Thanks!
Then I have put them one above the other as final but without glue yet, it seems so fragile...

Google translate told me the German word mistel is the English mistletoe, the French gui, the Russian amela...

And they went back separate for painting (without breaking all):
