I have seen at https://www.flyer.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Racing_Bird_3_4_2.jpg the Bell & Ross BR-bird, and I imagine related Mustangs for speed (as drawing only, sorry):

Cockpit near the tail makes anything look more racer  ;)

Realistically (sorry. I don't mean to give you a headache), you need to make sure the landing gear allows raising the nose for take-off and landing.

You are right: even with the bubble version (less aerodynamic), we can build racer looking ones with the rear cockpit! ;D

Cockpit in the tail also leaves room for a huge engine - or a second engine  :mellow:

Without the standard top fin, there is also the possibility of little lateral fins:

Interesting shape Tophe....might lend some idea's. thing is I can't build as fast as your draw them....

With another engine, the TBĀ² versions were twice more powerful and 40% faster...
