VFW VAK-191 Turmfalke

The VAK-191 prototype first flew in 1971. The testing process was protected and the first production aircraft did not enter service until 1978.

The German Luftwaffe used 248 and called the aircraft Turmfalke (Kestrel). The aircraft was used for ground attack and as a light fighter.

Besides the Luftwaffe the aircraft was also used by the air forces of Austria, Italy, Norway and Greece.

Tophe

[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

I can't see the pics, just the dreaded 'cross in a box'.  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Should be there. I have them OK and it seems so does Tophe.

They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

Looks a lot like the Yak-38 VSTOL, Russian Harrier.

The Norm '83 scheme suits the VAK-191 surprisingly well! Well done!

Gondor

Looks very nice in that scheme. Which kit did you use?

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Looks to me like a Harrier, Yak 38 and Starfighter had a 3 way and made a baby.

Good job.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

It does indeed, well done sir
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
