RAF X wing MkXIV
« on: September 09, 2017, 06:08:59 am »
Many people will have heard of the Nazi dabblings with alien technology in the form of the Haunebu flying saucers, but few will have heard of the RAF's greatest WWII secret the X-wing fighter.
Realising that there were many parallels between the Nazis and the evil empire that they were fighting , visitors to earth calling themselves "Jedi" , decided to help the Allies with a gift of new technology , with which to counter the Nazi threat.
These Jedi told the allies that they were from a galaxy far, far away , [ or was that Shrek ], and gifted the original X-wing . By reverse engineering the X-wings were produced and equiped several RAF squadrons , allowing us to neutralise the Haunebu threat.
After the end of the war the X-wings were placed in long term storage in a top secret location, ready to face any future menaces and presumably are still stored to this day.

Why is it just about anything flying looks good in RAF camo?

It's the same reason that anything looks good in Czech markings (or with longer wings.... ;D) it's intrinsically CORRECT!  ;D ;)
Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings

What they said - the camo somehow manages the T-70 look passable, even pleasant. There was a good reason why of the various McQuarrie designs the T-65 was used in the OT instead - it looks much more elegant.

And with an X Wing you get FOUR wings to lengthen!

So, by these criteria, anything with extended wings, RAF camo & Czech marking should be close to the perfect build. ;)
